CAPA Leadership Summit ~ October 24, 2009
CAPA hosted its 7th Leadership Summit on Saturday, October 24, 2009 in Novi Community Center. GLHA was one of its sponsors. Governor Jennifer Granholm was its Keynote Speaker.
Congrats to Lt. Colonel Yee Chang Hang
Lt. Yee Chang Hang is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wang Tru Hang. Lt. Col. Hang is the first Hmong who receives Lt. Col. in the US Army. GLHA congratulates Lt. Col. Hang for protecting and serving our country, the United States of America.
General Membership Meeting

2010 Census: A New Portrait of America – General
What is the Census?
* The census is a count of everyone living in the United States every 10 years.
* The census is mandated by the U.S. Constitution.
* The next census is in 2010.
* Census data are used to distribute Congressional seats to states, to make decisions about what community services to provide, and to distribute $300 billion in federal funds to local, state and tribal governments each year.
