2010 Hmong Michigan Annual New Year Celebration ~ October 3 & 4, 2009
Shoua Moua was crowned as Miss Hmong Michigan 2010 during the Hmong Michigan Annual New Year Celebration on October 3 & 4, 2009.
Our goal is to foster closer cooperative endeavors among Hmong Americans in the State of Michigan; to preserve cultural attributes; to promote educational, social and economical opportunities; advocate cultural awareness in the community; to guide and furnish survival/emergency needs to members of the community.
Shoua Moua was crowned as Miss Hmong Michigan 2010 during the Hmong Michigan Annual New Year Celebration on October 3 & 4, 2009.
CAPA hosted its 7th Leadership Summit on Saturday, October 24, 2009 in Novi Community Center. GLHA was one of its sponsors. Governor Jennifer Granholm was its Keynote Speaker.
Lt. Yee Chang Hang is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wang Tru Hang. Lt. Col. Hang is the first Hmong who receives Lt. Col. in the US Army. GLHA congratulates Lt. Col. Hang for protecting and serving our country, the United States of America.
GLHA will have its final General Membership Meeting of 2009 on Sunday, December 13th, 2009 from 10 AM to 2 PM at Dragon Pearl Restaurant, 17225 Silver Parkway, Fenton, MI.
GLHA will host its 30th Anniversary of Community Services on Saturday, January 16, 2009 from 3 PM to Midnight at Eagle Creek Academy, 3739 Kern Road, Oakland, MI. For information is forth coming.
